CONTRIBUTING

As a partly financed organization, the POESIA Consortium stands in need of volunteers who can work on software development and on documentation of the Poesia Project.

Remember that all our software will be released under a GPL license (or similar, Lesser GPL, for instance) and therefore will be publicly available.

In terms of software developers, there is typically a large need for people willing to test the various pieces of software, in various environments, and to track, reproduce, isolate, and fix problems reported by the users (and developers as well).

POESIA development involves many different software research areas and different implementing instruments. You will surely find something that is really interesting for you.

Not a software developer? Don´t worry, there are plenty of other ways you can contribute. Helping less experienced users on the users mailing list is a way in which you can contribute to the POESIA projects. Helping on documentation translation or on product localization is also another way.

This is the list where participating developers of the POESIA Package meet and discuss issues, code changes/additions, etc. Subscribers to this list get notices of each and every code change, build results, testing notices, etc. Do not send mail to this list with usage questions or configuration problems -- that´s what Jetspeed-User is for.

The aim of this survey is to gather data concerning the use of Internet filtering software. The data gathered will be used to develop and enhance the POESIA Internet filtering software application.
